Week One

Lesson Plans

This is the first week of ST Math Immersion. The focus for the week is to get students acclimated to the structure of the ST Math Immersion virtual program.

  • During this week students will discuss strategies and practice how to overcome hurdles in ST Math. Use opportunities throughout Immersion to relate overcoming hurdles to the larger world of math and beyond. 
  • Students will also learn the components of the program (My Thinking Path, ST Math Exit Tickets, Puzzle Talks, Pre-work, Problem of the Day, and Math Journals).
  • Most importantly, this week students will actively engage in thinking, discussing, comparing, and evaluating the strategies they use to solve problems.
